That's why each of our vehicles is delivered with a COC (Certificate of Conformity) document as standard – free of charge, complete and immediately usable.
Whether you choose an e-scooter with a top speed of 45 km/h (driveable with a class B or AM driving license) or a model with a top speed of up to 125 km/h with a class A1 or B196 driving license:
The COC is your official proof that your vehicle meets the requirements of the EU and EEC type approval (EEC) – i.e. that it is road legal.
What is a COC document?
COC stands for Certificate of Conformity.
It is an official document from the manufacturer that confirms that your vehicle complies with EU technical regulations – specifically Directive EU 168/2013 or EEC type-approval for two-wheeled motor vehicles.
In short: without a COC, there is no road approval.
With the COC you can register your vehicle with the insurance company, get an insurance number plate (for 25 km/h and 45 km/h) or take it to the registration office (for 125 km/h).

With every Star-Biker model, you automatically receive a complete COC (Certificate of Conformity) document – printed, signed and issued directly by the manufacturer.
What distinguishes our COC document:
- Original document – no reprint, no copy
- Issued by the vehicle manufacturer (not generic or neutral)
- Vehicle-specific – including your individual chassis number
- Vehicle class specified, e.g. L1e (up to 45 km/h) or L3e (from 45 km/h)

What does “EEC compliant” mean?
EEC stands for "European Economic Community" – and is the framework under which vehicle type approval takes place.
If a vehicle is EEC-compliant, this means that it has been tested and approved in accordance with EU directives and can be driven on public roads in all EU member states and Switzerland.
All our COC documents are based on a valid EEC type approval – you don't need any additional approval, no individual registration, no surprises.
