Star-Biker warranty conditions for e-scooters and e-choppers

Star-Biker guarantees the original purchaser a two-year warranty against material defects and workmanship ("Defect") when purchasing a fully assembled e-scooter or e-chopper. Should a defect already exist at the time of transfer of risk or occur during the warranty period, Star-Biker may, at its sole discretion, remedy the defect ("Repair") or deliver a new vehicle ("Subsequent Delivery"). In the case of a Repair, Star-Biker may, at its discretion, replace defective parts or repair them through labor. The Repair may also be performed by a third party.

Battery guarantee for e-scooters and e-choppers

We provide a six-month warranty on the battery. Defective batteries will either be repaired or replaced with a new one that has at least the same energy capacity as the old one. However, damage caused by improper use is not covered. Examples of damage not covered include, but are not limited to:

• Exposing the battery or the e-scooter or e-chopper to extreme temperatures (over 50°C or below -25°C for more than 24 hours)
• Physical damage or intentional manipulation of the battery to extend or shorten its lifespan
• Contact with moisture or flames and flooding of the battery

Parts excluded from the warranty

The following parts are excluded from the warranty:

• Wear parts such as brake pads, brake discs, tires, shock absorbers, lamps, paint, grips, saddle and seat post
• Parts not installed by Star-Biker or an authorized manufacturer
• Operating materials such as brake fluid, oils, greases or lubricants
• Accessories and special equipment that were not offered as part of the initial purchase of a new vehicle

Warranty conditions and use

The warranty is only valid if the vehicle is used and maintained correctly. Warranty claims are void if:

• Vehicle warnings and instructions in the operating manual were ignored
• The vehicle was used improperly or in contravention of the regulations
• Interventions or manipulations have been made to the drive, electric motor, controller or battery system

The warranty is also void if the motor or controller is tuned or used in motorsport events or competitions.

Maintenance and care for your e-scooters and e-choppers

To maintain the warranty, it is necessary to adhere to the maintenance intervals according to our Star Biker service booklet:

• Maintenance: 500 km or 3 months
• Maintenance: 2000 km or 12 months
• Maintenance: 4000 km or 24 months
• Maintenance: 6000 km or 36 months
• Maintenance: 8000 km or 48 months

Maintenance and repairs must be carried out by an official Star Biker service partners. Commercial use of the e-scooter or e-chopper excludes the warranty.

Legal Notice

This warranty does not limit your statutory warranty rights or any claims under the Product Liability Act. You retain your statutory rights against Star-Biker.
